Siemens Sirius 3RW40 is designed for high power induction motors (up to 250 Kilowatt). The device allow easy start-up, protects the motor against overload, reduces power consumption, which makes the use of apparatus cheaper. The data models apply features unusual to this capacity range: semiconductor engine overburden defense and built-in appliance defense, controllable current limiting and two-phase monitoring technique (polarity balance). Siemens 3RW40 soft starters are sections of the SIRIUS modular system. As a result, they have pinpoint sizes and connection schemes. Thanks to their especially compact dimensions, Siemens soft starters are half the size of star-delta starters, thus they take at minimal space in the switch cabinet. Together with the contactor, they are used as safety-free starting union for electric engines.
